Camping in France: Enjoying the benefits of naturism in Europe

Author: Paul Andrew
Camping in the outdoors can be a great way of relaxing for a week or two in the summer and in the South of France, the weather is fairly reliable. Add onto this the fact that the campsite is on a naturism resort and you are in a completely natural environment. Welcome to the campsite at Cap D' agde naturism resort, France, near Montpelier. Naturism is the fastest growing form of tourism and with thousands more people deciding to shed their clothes in order to enjoy a natural and liberating holiday, why not try yourself. With heat waves all over Europe, USA and further afield, do you really need to wear anything on holiday anyway?

With a 3km beach and what is arguably one of the best campsites in France, Cap D'agde naturism resort (considering costs, facilities and atmosphere) is an interesting option. The campsite does not perhaps have the same amount of campsite entertainment as some other resorts, but the prices are reasonable and the facilities more than good enough. The enclosed naturism itself is the largest naturist resort in the world, with up to 40,000 cloth-less people there at the peak of summer. You can go shopping, visit restaurants, go to the beach or even the post office etc, with nothing on. Cap D'agde is an enclosed naturism village with everyone required to sign in at the gate. As people lead more hectic lives, travel further abroad and look for more interesting and varied holidays and as wellness and natural style living becomes more popular, the idea of walking around as nature intended is becoming more acceptable on a daily basis. Naturism holidays may not suit everyone but they are increasingly becoming popular. So what makes people walk around with nothing but a purse in their hand. Why are people willing to allow strangers to see themselves with nothing but the sun on their backs, when they would not dream of doing this in front of their friends in the office back at work. Different people get involved in naturism in different ways. Some people have always been curious, others are invited by friends and take a chance some people simply hate having to wear clothes on holiday and love the freedom and sense of liberation that naturists experience.

It is amazing the freedom you feel and how ones insecurity can change to one of confidence when you realise that everyone has imperfections and that other naturists simply do not care. Consider also a holiday or vacation on which you need to do very little laundry and pack very few clothes. Many British and American people may be surprised at how many other home grown accents they hear. It is rare to meet someone who talks about Cap D'agde in England for example, yet there are so many English accents to be heard, as one sits in one the many bars or restaurants in the evening.

If have been thinking about taking the plunge and trying out naturism you will not be alone. Thousands are trying out this new and fun form of tourism so why not give it a go!
