It may be possible to prevent mining accidents in the future by using molecular laser realignment technologies directly after drilling the tunnels. How would this work? And what else could it be used for? Well, I believe my concept can be used for lunar colonies, Martian colonies, mining, tunnel building, underground building and core drilling.

How it would work is simple after a tunnel or largess cylinder hole was drilled a special laser would be used to realign the molecules under extreme heat of the dirt walls surrounding the hole. This would make a stronger wall that would not collapse very easy. And it would fuse together the molecules of dirt to be as strong as steel using molecular science. The molecules would be realigned a certain way by the laser light to strengthen the bond between them. We could build skyscrapers straight down and they would be much safer because a terrorist could not crash aircraft into it.

But there are many good uses for this for instance a lunar colony would not have to deal with solar flares or space radiation, as it would be protected by the dirt surrounding the colony and this would mean the walls of the colony could be thinner and that means less material has to be delivered to the moon.

Also we often hear about cave-ins during building of infrastructure projects or tunnels and this would no longer occur because the wall of the tunnel would be a strong is steel. Laser molecular realignment technologies are now here and all we need to do is put them onto a portable platform and start using them in this application. Please consider all this in 2006.
