How to Start a Conversation

Author: Mathew Greem

For the beginning start smiling
With a good mood and nice smile the distrust with the people around you is fading, that's the first step to the way of gain people's favor.

What do you need to talk about
In the beginning the best topic for conversation is to start something neutral, for example about the weather forecast, the TV programs or something like that. Crying, gossip, intimacy. Those are things to discuss only with your most close friends.

Avoid question with short answers
Instead asking, "Have you been on a holiday this year", try to ask something like, "What were you doing when you were on holiday this year", that's way the chances are greater to find something in common and to continue discuss about that.

Interest can be shown with words
Try to indicate attention that you follow his or her conversation by the famous trick, for example, "So, you've watched "The Mathix!"

Catch the moment when you need to stop talking
In order to put into conversation of others which is already in extent, don't rush to say in the very moment when you desire at once. First listen carefully and then find the right moment of actuating the conversation. The most important thing is to do not interrupt the interlocutor.

Don't listen only with your years
Because it's not cultivated and it says that you are a bad interlocutor. With the body language you let know that you pay attention for what is talking about. Also it's a good habit to look into the eyes of the people who are talking to you, but not to stare into him or her, because some people are becoming uncomfortable and unsecured this way.
