Recently I was having a conversation with a zoologist about what makes human beings so much smarter than the rest of animal kingdom. She had studied and researched these subjects for some 25 years and written about 40 white papers on various species such as Dolphins, Chimpanzees, Guerillas, Pigs and Dogs. She joked and said some Chimpanzees she had met and worked with during her career she considered superior to some humans she knew, in fact she mentioned one of these humans as her "Ex," so I suppose this is opinion based, but we both laughed at the thought.

Humans have large brains and are so good at so many things, yet our over scale of possible IQ, various about as much as the difference between human and chimps. You see the average IQ on the African Continent is just under 80 and in the United States it is 100. Yet we have amongst us those with the IQ of 180 plus, sure they are employed as "Rocket Scientists" working for NASA and there are humans with problems in the United States, which are barely functioning society at 60-70 level; this level of IQ is quite common in Africa, of course life is simpler there too and many are not over weight and thus over come the lack of IQ with the agility to defend them selves, hunt or otherwise survive.

So she said people are relatively smart compared to Chimpanzees but compared to the IQ of the Rocket Scientists, well generally mankind is not all that smart at all. So in reality we think we are smart by nature or gift of God, but in essence we are not all as bright as we think we are. So perhaps you might consider this next time you think you are smarter than someone else, because there is someone who is much smarter than you out there somewhere laughing. Think on this, oh and have a banana because part of being smart is eating right too.
