Another action would be to garnish the wages from the non-custodial parents pay check. The Alabama Child Support Office will contact the employer of the non-custodial parent and informed them on how much needs to be deducted in order to satisfy the child support payments.

Child support usually ends when the child reaches the age of 19 or when they graduate from high school, whichever happens later. However, if the child attends college and is not working, the non-custodial parent still has an obligation to continue the child support payments.
