Need a great gift idea? Maybe youve already decided and now its time to fill it up. If youre in need of an idea I highly recommend a gift basket because they are complete customizable. They are a great idea for any baby shower because they can fit your personality or the partys theme. By creating a gift basket, you can put together many small necessities for the mother-to-be and present them in a very attractive way. There are many different things that you can fill a gift basket with. I have found that the best way to create a basket is to first pick a theme or follow the parties theme. For a baby shower you can pick many different themes. You can pick a feeding time theme and fill your basket with bottles, bibs, baby plates, forks, and spoons, and maybe a recipe book for homemade baby food. You could also add some baby formula mix. Another theme, and one of my favorites, is a bath time theme. You can fill your basket with baby shampoo and conditioner, baby body wash, bath bubbles, and baby powder. There are also many adorable bath towel sets that you could add. Top it off with some bath time toys and you have a great gift. You can also do a bed time theme. Fill your basket with soft blankets and stuffed animals. Make sure to include some cozy pajamas and slippers and finish it off with a book of bedtime stories and a lullaby C.D. This will prove very rewarding when mama gets her little one to sleep and she can get some rest! One last idea is to do a care basket for the new mom. Add some stress release candles, a book about motherhood, some chocolate, and some indulgent body crme. Add anything to help the mother-to-be relax, before and after the baby comes. If you are already a mom, include some cards with words of wisdom about pregnancy and parenthood. When putting your basket together, try assembling your items in something creative. For the feeding time theme, put all of your items in a big mixing bowl. For the bath time theme, use a small plastic bathtub. You can use anything from metal buckets, to Tupperware bowls, to a never-fails traditional wicker basket. Pick something useful that matches your theme, tie a ribbon around it and put all your stuff in. |
