Online Internet Surfers and Their Preferences

Author: Lance Winslow

Most online article writers tend to get a little upset over time at the number of article views or interest they draw from the Internet. It seems their best articles are often not read as much as the articles with popular current events and celebrity affairs. Recently I did a little study and wrote articles to see what kind of articles got the most hits or article views. I was pretty sure I would not like the results, but I went ahead anyway to see if I was correct.

When I wrote stupid worthless articles titled something like; "I just want to get laid" or "I want great sex" I ended up getting some 300 hits in one week, then once they hit Google, they skyrocketed. When I wrote about NanoTechnology, Space Exploration, Free Trade, etc. I was lucky to pull 150 hits in three weeks to a month and even in Google with decent rankings, they did not go anywhere very fast. And the ones which did get one hundred and fifty hits; I mean that would be lucky.

Now then it appears the stupid people go to the Internet to surf that is to say that dumb humans go onto the Internet, okay given. Unfortunately what it is also saying is the there are so many more stupid people than smart people out there, bummer. Luckily the more people who write more quality articles, will perhaps slowly change the trend and bring better content to the Internet these days. Think on this in 2006.
